Founded in 2019, the Center for Robotics and Biosystems (CRB) at Northwestern University's McCormick School of Engineering brings together faculty and students from mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering, computer science, and medicine. Research spans bio-inspired robotics, neuromechanics, human-machine systems, swarm robotics, autonomous systems, and soft robotics. The center provides state-of-the-art shared facilities, serves as a catalyst for cross-disciplinary collaboration, and hosts major national research initiatives. Its work aims to enable seamless human-robot collaboration across healthcare, manufacturing, and beyond.
