EtherCAT SubDevice Information (ESI) Specification
The ETG.2000 EtherCAT SubDevice Information (ESI) Specification describes the structure of ESI files using the corresponding XML schema, including EtherCAT P and SCI (SubDevice Configuration Information). The SCI allows to specify use-case specific device descriptions, containing a complete configuration. The Japanese version of the ETG.2000 is also available for download. Please note that the English document is always the official version.
The ETG.2001 EtherCAT SubDevice Information (ESI) document describes the use of ESI elements and attributes on specific examples. It is an annotation to the ETG.2000 specification.
The EtherCAT SubDevice Information (ESI) schema is being used for creation of ESI files, including EtherCAT P.
