TR8253‐EVB
The TR8253‐EVB EtherCAT SubDevice Evaluation Board is an easy‐to‐use and flexible development plattform. Designers can evaluate the TR8253 EtherCAT functions in EtherCAT SubDevice applications with MCUs or DSPs via PDI interfaces, such as SPI, HBI and SQI.
The TR8253's chipset is a series of EtherCAT SubDevice Controller chip (including TR8253 and TR8253L), which integrates ESC core module licensed from Beckhoff Automation. It supports 2 or 3 ports of the EtherCAT communication for the EtherCAT SubDevice fieldbus application, and is suitable for industrial automation, motor control, motion control, industrial robot, digital signal I/O control, sensor data acquisition, embodied intelligent robot, and other realtime industrial control product applications.
The TR8253/TR8253L provides two process data interfaces, i.e. μController Local Bus interface and SPI/SQI Slave interface, which can be used for the connection between the TR8253's chipset and external MCU/DSP to support EtherCAT functionality.
The TR8253/TR8253L supports a wide range of applications. For example, it can be used as a 16 bit Digital I/O node without external logic using Distributed Clocks, or as a part of a complex μController design with up to three EtherCAT communication ports.
The TR8253/TR8253L also integrates two current‐mode fast Ethernet PHYs (10/100BASE‐TX), which support 100Mbps full duplex operation and HP Auto‐MDIX functionality.
